Listings on ForSaleByOwner.com are up 14 percent in the past year, General Manager Eddie Tyner tells CNNMoney’s Les Christie.
“Historically, for-sale-by-owner (deals) ebb and flow with the economy,” says iGOfsbo.com developer Donald Van Dyne. “People use it when there’s a hot market, when it’s easier to sell their homes.”
A review of FSBO vs. agent-represented listings in the nation’s five most populous states posted on Zillow.com suggests that for now, buyers are still much more likely to go with an agent.
