In contrast to other housing turnarounds, investors have largely powered the recent recovery. Rock-bottom mortgage rates, bargain-basement prices and soft competition from other buyers are among the reasons why investors have flooded the market, RISMedia reported. Investor activity has been a boon to other industries as well, like home remodeling.
