Coldwell Banker Real Estate agents are finding that market-ready homes are selling quickly, but those that aren’t may languish, even in markets where inventory’s scarce, CEO Budge Huskey tells TheStreet.
The National Association of Realtors today released numbers showing existing homes were selling at their fastest pace of the year in July, with distressed homes (foreclosures and short sales) accounting for just 9 percent of sales — the first time distressed sales have had a single-digit market share since NAR started tracking that category in the fall of 2008.
