Marking one of the latest instances of New York City real estate absurdity, a basement storage space just sold for well over the average price of a U.S. home, the New York Post reported.
The 200-square-foot space, located in the basement of a chic Manhattan glass tower that is set to open in 2015, recently went for $300,000 to a future tenant, according to The Post.
The news outlet said buyers are paying between $2,000 and $6,000 a square foot for units in the high-rise.
