With fall just around the corner, more homeowners are planning home improvements on offices and playrooms, according to Zillow.
Though homeowners planning to make home improvements fell from 60 percent in the summer to 52 percent this fall, those who plan to remodel offices rose from 4 to 6 percent, and those who plan to remodel playrooms rose from 2 to 3 percent, Zillow reported in releasing the results of the Zillow Digs Fall Home Improvement Trend and Spending Survey.
“Parents are sprucing up indoor play areas to keep the kids active and occupied, while looking for ways to update their own workspaces for the season ahead as workdays are shortened by kid pickup and drop-off duty,” said Cynthia Nowak, Zillow Digs trend expert.
