Customer relationship management software provider Salesforce.com and business hardware and software company Oracle have formed a nine-year strategic partnership in which they will integrate their respective cloud-based applications.

As part of the agreement, Oracle will integrate Salesforce.com with Oracle’s Fusion human capital management software and Financial Cloud applications, and provide the core technology to power Salesforce.com’s applications and platform, the companies said in an announcement.

The partnership signals a rapprochement between the two companies, which made Fortune’s list of “50 greatest business rivalries of all time” in March.
