A real estate agent in California’s Silicon Valley has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for running a Ponzi scheme that prosecutors said cost friends and family members more than $2 million.

Jill Marie Silvey, 51, conned at least 20 investors into supposedly lending money to homeowners — money she instead spent on luxury cars, clothes and furniture. Source: mercurynews.com.
