Republicans expected to oppose Obama's plan to wind down Fannie and Freddie

President Barack Obama can expect Republican opposition to a plan he’ll propose today to keep a government backstop in place in the mortgage securitization process but gradually wind down Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the Wall Street Journal reports.
