“Startup mansions,” sprawling homes that house often more than 10 techies, have proliferated in recent years in Silicon Valley, Buzzfeed reports.
One of the more ambitious mansions boasted 16 tenants, all of whom shared a room with at least one other person, according to Buzzfeed.
The living environment was conceived as a place that would foster collaboration, where tenants could find easier access to investors and share groceries and dinners, the blog said.
But large egos reportedly helped undermine the spirit of the home.
