Rising mortgage interest rates will dampen the contribution housing has made to GDP growth, dousing a fire lit in late 2011, but not putting it out, according to CoreLogic’s latest MarketPulse report.

The company estimates long-run potential GDP growth is about 1.75 percent today compared with 3.5 percent before the recession.
