Self-proclaimed Phoenix real estate guru indicted on money laundering charges

“Real estate guru and investment extraordinaire Tanya Marchiol is commanding respect and demanding attention both from her clients and on national television with weekly appearances on FOX, FOX Business, CNN, CNBC, CBS and HGTV,” Marchiol’s website, boasts. “While many are losing millions in an unstable economy, Tanya is thriving and garnering incredible returns for her clients and her company.”

Federal prosecutors allege that those clients include two people who wanted Marchiol to conceal their ownership in a home that they purchased in order to launder drug money. Marchiol was hit with an 11-count indictment on Oct. 8. Charges include conspiracy to commit money laundering. Marchiol is presumed innocent until competent evidence is presented to a jury that establishes guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. Source:
