Six sentenced to prison in mortgage fraud scheme

A title attorney and two mortgage brokers and their co-conspirators are headed to prison in the wake of convictions and guilty pleas on charges that they conspired to commit wire fraud in connection with what federal prosecutors in south Florida described as “multiple fraudulent real estate transactions involving the use of straw buyers” who submitted loan applications to mortgage lenders across the United States.
