Property taxes, insurance after home's 'Extreme Makeover' prohibitive

Larry and Melissa Beach, whose Kemah, Texas, home got an “Extreme Makeover” after Hurricane Ike, have put the house up for sale, saying they’re now paying between $1,300 and $1,500 a month to insure the house and cover property taxes.

The Houston Chronicle reports that couple put the home on the market in February for $700,000, and have reduced their asking price to $535,000. Source: chron.com.
