Warren Buffett — who unloaded a huge stake in Freddie Mac and a smaller position in Fannie Mae long before the housing boom took off, when the mortgage giants started getting too ambitious for his taste — says Berkshire Hathaway Inc. might get involved in housing finance again once the government’s role in the process has been decided.
