“The Wolf of Wall Street” — convicted con man Jordan Belfort — has been booked by Total Real Estate Training to teach real estate agents “the mindset plus sales and negotiation skills he developed to amass amazing success in a few short years.”

Needless to say, some industry leaders are less than pleased with Belfort’s scheduled appearance at the Australian Real Estate Conference.

“For AREC to market a convicted con artist’s sales techniques and powers of persuasion is not something I want for the industry,” Harcourts Frankston Director Brent Pullar tells the Sunday Herald Sun’s Rita Panahi.

According to the company’s website, Total Real Estate Training was founded in 1996 “with the mission to play an integral part in raising the standards of service, professionalism and integrity of the people working in the real estate community through a calendar of trade events.” Source: heraldsun.com.au.
