A new crop of Realtors in northeast Florida who cut their teeth on distressed properties during the downturn and developed contacts through Internet technologies and social media are bolstering the membership rolls of the Northeast Florida Association of Realtors (NEFAR), The Florida Times-Union (Jacksonville) reports.
NEFAR membership peaked at 7,118 in 2006, then bottomed out in 2010 at 4,892 members. NEFAR now has 5,118 members. NEFAR spokewswoman Melanie Green attributes some of that growth to formation of the National Association of Realtors’ Young Professionals Network.
About 30 people attend NEFAR’s monthly orientation sessions and technology courses for new Realtors, Green said. Source: jacksonville.com.
