What do Zillow CEO Spencer Rascoff and Dipchand “Deep” Nishar, LinkedIn’s senior vice president of products and user experience, have in common? They’ve both been elected to TripAdvisor Inc.’s board of directors.
TripAdvisor claims to operate the world’s largest travel website. Company-branded sites attracted more than 260 million unique visitors in July, the company said in announcing the additions to its board.
Rascoff, 37, and Nishar, 44, will bring “additional industry, product and operational knowledge and experience” to the board, TripAdvisor CEO Stephen Kaufer said in a statement.
TripAdvisor pays non-employee directors an annual retainer of $50,000 a year, paid quarterly, and restricted stock units valued at $150,000 upon election to the board and on Dec. 15 of each year. As a member of TripAdvisor’s audit committee, Rascoff will receive an additional annual retainer of $20,000 per year.
Rascoff also serves on the board of Julep Beauty Inc., a privately held beauty products company, and Zulily Inc., a “daily deals” site for moms.
