RealtyBaron offers Agent Bid widget
Consumers, agents can query agents through partner sites
By Inman News, Friday, July 31, 2009.Online real estate site RealtyBaron is offering a widget that allows partner Web sites to offer "find an agent" services through a branded storefront that keeps visitors on their site.
RealtyBaron is a real estate agent rating and review site that also offers an online system in which agents bid for business by adjusting their commission rates and rebates.
The new Agent Bid API (application programming interface) widget allows partnering Web sites to make a form available that allows consumers or real estate professionals to submit a bid request to real estate agents who are members of RealtyBaron.com.
Consumers can use the widget to find real estate agents offering the lowest commission, while real estate professionals can locate other agents and brokers offering the best referral fee.
RealtyBaron passes along lead or referral opportunities to qualified agents, who can submit proxy bids that are automatically updated in response to competitive bids.
The consumer or agent requesting bids through a partnering Web site can view responses and review bids without leaving the partnering site. E-mails dispatched by RealtyBaron appear to originate from the partnering Web site, and contain a link to the partnering site if action is required.

I'll be attending Inman Connect next week. If anyone would like to discuss the API's features and how to add it to your website, I'd gladly meet up with you. Thanks.
