CAR providing Inman News on iPhone
Partnership provides CAR members with 3 stories a day
By Inman News, Tuesday, August 4, 2009.The California Association of Realtors' new iPhone application will provide access to a limited selection of Inman News stories, the companies said.
CAR's mobile iPhone app, which is available free to the groups members, provides market data for 21 regions in California, current loan information, highlights from CAR's "Market Matters" newsletter, and the ability to search for license renewal and continuing education courses and hot-item news alerts (see story).
Realtors spend much of their time outside of a physical office, and are looking for "instant and mobile access to breaking news, research, and advice," CAR President James Liptak said in a press release announcing the partnership with Inman News. Under the partnership, the iPhone app will provide access to three Inman News stories per day.
"Inman News connects real estate and technology," said Inman News Founder Brad Inman in the press release. "We're excited about delivering our real estate news to new and innovative channels and platforms."
