Inman is expanding its podcast lineup with the launch of Signal, a new weekly show hosted by Inman CEO Tom Bohn that goes straight at the conversations most industry interviews talk around.

Each episode is a candid, off-the-cuff conversation between Bohn and the people driving the biggest shifts in residential real estate — brokerage executives, proptech founders and other industry power players. The focus isn’t press-release talking points; it’s what’s actually working, what’s breaking, and where the industry is headed next.

As Inman’s CEO, Bohn brings a vantage point few hosts can match, sitting down with top-producing agents, CEOs placing big bets on the future of their brokerages, and proptech founders trying to remake how homes get bought and sold. He asks the questions their pitches usually skip.

Each episode closes with a segment called Signal or Noise — a fast read on the week’s headlines, launches and hype, sorting which ones point to where the industry is actually headed and which ones are just adding to the noise.

What to expect

Signal runs 30–40 minutes per episode in an interview-driven format, with new episodes dropping every Thursday. Topics will range across:

  • Recruiting and retention
  • The buyer agency transition
  • Tech stack ROI
  • Alternative brokerage models
  • Profitability benchmarking
  • M&A activity

Who should listen

Signal is built for:

  • Brokerage owners, team leaders and executives making decisions about growth, recruiting and profitability
  • Agents who want to understand where the industry is headed and how today’s changes affect their business
  • Proptech founders, investors and operators building products for residential real estate
  • Anyone looking for candid conversations that go beyond headlines and industry talking points
  • Listeners interested in brokerage strategy, technology, leadership, M&A and the trends shaping the future of residential real estate

In the debut episode of SIGNAL, Inman CEO Tom Bohn sits down with Ryan Serhant, founder and CEO of SERHANT., to talk about building the company into one of residential real estate’s fastest-growing brokerages.

Ryan Serhant | SERHANT. Studios

Ryan traces SERHANT.’s growth and the part media has played in it, then turns to how he’s preparing for what comes next. He built the company around the agent, and he explains that choice alongside how Sell It and Simple fit into the firm’s long-term strategy. From there, the conversation moves to recruiting and search portals, and where he sees AI having the most impact on brokerage operations going forward.

The episode closes with Signal or Noise. Ryan takes on billionaire bunkers first, then a potential CoStar and Zillow combination, and finishes on whether AI will replace the real estate agent.

Signal is available wherever you get your podcasts.
