Real estate marketing and technology company RealBird has built a tool that integrates with Facebook, making it easier for agents to update interested people on details of a particular property.

RealBird is using Facebook’s recently released Open Graph platform, including a "like" button, to allow agents to create Facebook listing pages for their single properties, the company announced this week. A recent Inman News column by Gahlord Dewald highlights possible uses and impacts of Facebook’s Open Graph for the real estate industry.

In RealBird’s implementation, an agent connects a RealBird single-property website to the social network and clicks the "like" button on that website. That creates a Facebook listing page for the property and the agent can then invite others to "like" the property.

Facebook sends notifications to the "status" feeds of those people whenever the status of the particular property changes. Agents can let potential clients know about an open house, a price reduction or new photos, for example.

"This development will greatly benefit real estate agents by enabling them to leverage Facebook’s social media environment to drive growth and engagement on their websites," the company said in a press release.

RealBird offers three single-property websites to agents for free; for more, the service costs $99 a year. For more information, see the RealBird’s Facebook page.
