Overnight mortgage interest rates dip

Long-term mortgage interest rates were slightly lower Tuesday, and the benchmark 10-year Treasury bond yield dipped to 4.02 percent. The 30-year fixed-rate average slipped to 5.25 percent, and the 15-year fixed-rate was down slightly at 4.54 percent. The 1-year adjustable dropped to 3.2 percent.
