The Helping Our Heroes event will be held July 24 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Ill. It will be open to the public, and the organizers expect 8,000-10,000 people to attend. The event will include a trade show of 200 local businesses that provide home-buying and homeowner products and services. The event also will include keynote speakers, prize raffles and home-related information seminars, according to the Web site. Scheduled speakers include The Duct-Tape Guys, The Mole Hunter and A-B-C Humane Wildlife Control.

The association will make a monetary contribution to the Illinois Military Relief Fund and grants to military families in need through the Helping Our Heroes Foundation.

The association has 6,000 Realtor members.
