The Bascom Group LLC recently purchased the Casa Sonora apartment community in Los Angeles for approximately $6.4 million.

Force-Ryzman LLC sold the 133-unit property at 729 South Union Ave. at a price that represents $47,612 per unit.

Casa Sonora, built in 1924 and comprising one four-story building, encompasses approximately 30,700 rentable square feet in the in the Westlake area of Los Angeles. Unit sizes range from 200 square feet to 350 square feet with an average of 230 square feet. The unit mix consists of 27 one-bedroom/one-bath apartments (20 percent of the mix), and 106 singles (80 percent).

The property also has one commercial space of approximately 5,000 square feet, which is currently vacant, according to a press statement.
