The Future of Real Estate Marketing blog has joined Inman News as the first addition to the real estate news service’s industry blog network, which will continue to roll out over the next year.

The Future of Real Estate Marketing blog, more commonly referred to as FOREM, was started in early 2006 as a hobby by Joel Burslem, who is now Social Media Manager with Inman News. The blog has quickly grown to be one of the most popular sources of information on technology and marketing issues currently facing the real estate industry.

FOREM looks specifically at how the Internet and technology are affecting the real estate industry and real estate marketing. The blog also covers developments at many of the new Web 2.0 destination sites and services that touch real estate.

Moving forward, select blog posts from FOREM will be incorporated into Inman News headlines and into its daily e-mail newsletters. In addition to closer integration with Inman News, this new partnership brings two new voices to the reporting team at FOREM:

Kelly Roark, VP of Industry Development with Trulia: Roark has more than 17 years in real estate, developing multi-channel marketing, business development and sales strategies for new divisions and products within Fortune 500/1000 companies. Prior to joining Trulia, she served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Inman News.

Erik Hersman, formerly of Realty Thoughts and eppraisal.com: Hersman has been blogging about technology in the real estate space for a couple of years. He now works as an independent blogging and social media consultant, operating out of Florida. He practices what he preaches on an Orlando-focused real estate blog called Roofable.

More voices will be added in the near future as the Inman News Blog Network expands. The Inman Blog Network aims to assemble the best minds in the real estate blogosphere into a single point of distribution for Inman News readers.

The Inman News Blog Network sits alongside the company’s other social media initiatives, which include the Inman News Blog, InmanTV and the InmanWiki.
