The Minneapolis office of Deloitte & Touche USA LLP today announced it has signed a lease to relocate its 900-person practice to offices from 120 South Sixth St. to 50 South Sixth St.

The value of the transaction was not disclosed.

Under the new lease agreement with Germany-based building owner KanAm Grund, Deloitte, which provides audit, tax, consulting and financial advisory services nationwide, will occupy 145,000 square feet in the building, on its top five floors, and should occupy the space by the end of 2008.

According to a press statement, “The new office provides Deloitte with the latest advances in business technologies, which will allow for heightened productivity and convenience. The space is designed as an open space environment, creating “neighborhoods” that are conducive to the teamwork and collaboration imperative to serving Deloitte clients.”

Amenities of the building at 50 South Sixth St. include four restaurants, a coffee shop, banking services, a child care development center, convenience store and public parking.
