Real estate rates jump overnight

30-year fixed rate at 6.01%; 10-year Treasury yield at 3.89%

Long-term mortgage interest rates continued higher Wednesday, and the benchmark 10-year Treasury bond yield sank to 3.89 percent. The 30-year fixed-rate average rose to 6.01 percent, and the 15-year fixed rate increased to 5.51 percent. The 1-year adjustable rate, however, dipped to 4.98 percent.
