Locale adds listings to Frontdoor.com
Locale.com, a real estate search site that focuses on locations known for lifestyle amenities, has announced a content distribution agreement to send property listings information to Frontdoor.com, a real estate site affiliated with Home and Garden Television’s HGTV.com Web site. Locale has also partnered to place its listings on a range of other sites, including Google Base, Homescape.com, Hotpads.com, Ooodle.com, Trulia.com and Vast.com, according to the announcement.

The REA Group acquires UKpropertyshop
Global real estate advertising company The REA Group, based in Melbourne, Australia, today announced it has acquired UKpropertyshop, an online directory of British real estate agents, for $1.1 million AUD, or approximately $1.06 million USD.

The purchase was made through REA Group’s 50 percent-owned United Kingdom subsidiary, Propertyfinder Holdings Ltd., which will run ukpropertyshop.co.uk in parallel with its existing propertyfinder.com and hotproperty.co.uk property search portals.

Launched in 1999, ukpropertyshop.co.uk lists the details of 17,000 U.K. agent offices in 3,000 towns. Agents who purchase a propertyfinder subscription will have their property listings displayed on all three sites for the price of one subscription.

Terabitz announces deals with six real estate brokerages
Terabitz, a company that offers online tools and technology for real estate brokers to better connect with buyers and sellers, announced deals to bring its technology to six real estate companies this month: Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty in Arizona, Century 21 Bowman in Texas, Real Estate One in Michigan, Tomlinson Real Estate in Idaho, RE/MAX Commonwealth in North Carolina and Century 21 Money World in Nevada.

Silicon Valley-based Terabitz offers a property-search platform that features interactive mapping and neighborhood details such as crime statistics and local business information. The company also offers a search application for iPhone users to view property listings and neighborhood information, and the company customizes MLS integration, design and business rules for its broker partners.
