Trulia today launched a new subscription-based lead-generation service that provides real estate professionals with insight into the search preferences of visitors to the popular listing portal.

The service, Trulia Insight, can also reveal whether potential clients are approved for financing, and whether they are already working with an agent or not, the company said.

Agents can access details about the neighborhoods and homes their clients prefer, and see which email listing alerts they have actually opened.

Trulia Insight is built on data collected from consumers’ submitted preferences, search behavior and email traffic patterns, the company said.

During the past six years, "Trulia has amassed a huge dataset of consumer-provided search behavior," said Truila CEO and co-founder Pete Flint in a statement. Trulia is using the data to spot trends that can help connect agents to consumers who are ready to buy, he said.

Real estate agents subscribing to Trulia Insight "will increase the quality of the leads they receive from Trulia and understand and prioritize consumer needs better," the company said.

Trulia is offering free trials of Trulia Insight to real estate professionals purchasing Trulia Pro or Trulia Local Ads.
