Capital Connect NY 18: Pete Flint predicts 'technology tsunami' headed for real estate

Real estate has fallen behind on the technology front due to the industry’s structure and will soon face a reckoning, says Trulia co-founder

“The majority of traditional real estate companies will die,” said Trulia co-founder Pete Flint onstage at Inman Connect New York‘s Capital Connect. “… it will take a while, and I think [it’s] because the resistance to change is too great. But that creates an incredible opportunity for upstarts.”

Flint offers his view of real estate’s future, the consumer perception that the industry is behind the curve, the “technology tsunami” headed for brokerages and franchises, and more during an onstage interview with Wired senior writer Erin Griffith.
