Shane Latta is a resident of Phoenix, Arizona, who took the plunge and responded to a radio ad and a mailer from Opendoor a couple of years ago when he wanted to sell his home. He had been wanting to downsize, but a previous real estate transaction experience had left him unhappy with the prospect of having to deal with an agent. He also wanted more control over the process of selling his home. So he tried out Opendoor a couple of years ago and loved the experience.
Here, he talks to The New York Post‘s Hedge Fund Reporter Carleton English at Friday’s session at Inman Connect Las Vegas about the experience. Among the factors that he liked about it were:
- It was simple and straightforward
- There were no last-minute unexpected surprises
- He was able to get his affairs in order in a timely fashion because he got to pick his close date
