Leading SoHo broker and real estate vet Keith Copley has left the Eklund | Gomes Team at Douglas Elliman and joined Nest Seekers International, the firm has informed Inman.

Copley has specialized in SoHo’s luxury market for 30 years and sold over 50 apartments on Greene Street alone.

Eddie Shapiro | Nest Seekers International

The luxury broker spent about eight years in total affiliated with Douglas Elliman starting in 2014, with a roughly three-year interlude at Compass starting in 2016. He also spent over a decade at Sotheby’s International Realty prior to his first appointment with Douglas Elliman.

“Keith is a downtown icon who lives and breathes SoHo real estate,” Eddie Shapiro, founder and CEO of Nest Seekers International, said in a statement. “His expertise, relationships and proven success in this market make him a perfect fit for our team.”

Over the years, Copley has cultivated a client roster that includes celebrities, athletes and Fortune 500 executives. He has closed roughly $1.5 billion in sales volume over the course of his 30+ year career, and in 2024, he closed about $150 million in sales volume.

Douglas Elliman did not immediately respond to Inman’s request for comment on Copley’s move.

Keith Copley

“I’ve spent my career specializing in SoHo’s most iconic properties, and joining Nest Seekers International is the perfect next step in growing my business,” Copley said in a statement. “Eddie’s vision for the firm and its global reach align perfectly with my approach to luxury real estate.”

Copley first moved to New York more than 30 years ago from Florida to run an interior design firm. He also has experience in commercial leasing and sales, having served as director of leasing and sales for the GM Building at 767 Fifth Avenue while working for Cushman & Wakefield earlier in his career.
