With Google so deeply enmeshed in many people’s daily online experience, many might find it hard to believe that another company could possibly hope to attract more visitors than the Internet titan.

But in what’s sure to seem a puzzling finding to many observers, Google’s ailing precursor Yahoo actually drew more Web traffic than any other company, including Google, according to ComScore data.

Shrouding the finding in mystery, it’s not at all clear how Yahoo actually managed to pull off the feat, especially given that ComScore did not count traffic to Tumblr, which Yahoo snatched for $1 billion in May.
