Luxury firm Engel & Völkers is expanding its presence in Brooklyn with the addition of the previously indie firm Dwell Residential.
Dwell launched in Park Slope more than 20 years ago as Betancourt Realty, and was acquired by Luis Martinez in 2014. The firm focuses on “hyper-local expertise, personalized service and deep community ties.” Now the former Dwell office will operate as Engel & Völkers Park Slope, building on two other locations in Brooklyn and North Fork headed by license partner and broker-owner Donald Brennan.

All 16 agents previously affiliated with Dwell will be staying on at Engel & Völkers and Luis Martinez will serve as an associate broker at Engel & Völkers Park Slope. Dwell co-owner and top listing agent Frank Tamayo Levya will also be staying on with the firm.

The firm’s Park Slope office is located at 335 7th Avenue, Brooklyn, where Dwell’s former office was located. Brennan’s other Engel & Völkers office locations are at 221A Court Street, Brooklyn, New York and 27980 Main Road No. 25, Cutchogue, New York.
