Not every real estate agent has the money to hire an SEO expert, especially new agents who are on a tight budget.

Learning SEO is as easy as learning your ABCs because you can learn everything you need to know about SEO here at Inman, or you can just Google the term and get all the information you need to beat your competitors.

10. Diversify your anchor test

What is an anchor test? An anchor test is the visible links or words that are displayed when linking to another Web page.

Why is an anchor test necessary? Anchor tests are crucial to search engines because they use it as a relevancy indicator.

For example, if your Web page is about San Antonio neighborhood review, and you get a backlink from another website with the anchor test San Antonio neighborhood review, the search engine will view the link relevant because of the anchor test and boost your rankings.

Do not over optimize all your anchor tests with a particular keyword. Instead, use acronyms, naked URL and synonyms to diversify your anchor tests and show Google that it’s natural and not a scheme to manipulate search engine rankings.

11. Automate your digital marketing

Free yourself up by using tools such as Wishpond to automate digital marketing. This automation will allow you concentrate on other aspects of your business with remarkable results.

12. Build links to your website

What is link building? Link building is the process of getting other websites to link to your site. Link building is an arm of search engine optimization (SEO).

Forget about the articles on the Internet that try to say link building is dead. Link building is not dead, and it’s still an important factor in search engine rankings.

But link building has gone from building lots of links to simply building quality links from relevant websites or pages.

So, your goal in link building here should be focused first on building lots of quality links from relevant websites and pages.

13. Blogging for your niche

If you have a dream of building an online real estate marketing empire, then blogging is the way to go.

Blogging will assist you in mopping up those long-tail keywords and keywords that have relatively low searches per month.

14. Effectively utilizing email as a leads nurturing tool

Every agent uses email as a medium of nurturing and conversion, but not all agents use it the right way.

A more effective email campaign is one that is targeted and tailored to the needs of its recipients. So stop sending general email, and focus on sending emails that are more tailored and direct.

15. Don’t neglect social media as a lead generation and conversion tool

Social media can not only convert your leads to sales, but it will assist you in winning so many referrals.

16. On-page optimization is as important as SEO

What is on-page optimization? It is the measure you take on your website to increase visibility or rankings on search engines.

On-page optimization tactics include improving user experience and engagement, and adding keywords to your site.

Also, remember that your user experience is imperative when it comes to lead generation and search engine rankings in 2015.

Focus on increasing engagement, and make your lead capture form easy to notice and complete. And make you sure have the anatomy of your real estate website locked in.

17. Increase click-thru rate

What is click-thru rate? Click-thru rate (CTR) is a ratio showing how often people see your listings on search engine result pages and clicked on it.

Getting lots of backlinks to your website will increase your search engine rankings, but a high click-thru rate and low bounce rate will make you consolidate your rankings on search engine result pages.
