We started with Duncan’s background, selling just one home in his first year (to his parents) and how he started with a database of only 500 and invested his time prospecting expireds and FSBOs.

“Going after the listing was — I knew — the key to success … you have to have a great listing operation to be successful,” Duncan explained.
Duncan’s first big marketing breakthrough was discovering Craigslist posting for his listings. Investing in coaching, hiring new agents and working REOs helped him generate more leads than he could handle and laid the foundation for future growth.
“A big turning point for us was about five years ago, hiring a coach and then building out advertising campaigns that were more of a media buy,” Duncan noted. “TV, radio, Zillow, realtor.com. That’s when we really started becoming a marketing agency.”
