According to a Zillow report, 21.2 percent of millennials in Houston are living with their parents, and average rent is expected to increase 1.6 percent.

October is the most expensive month of the year to rent in Houston, according to a recent RentHop study. Rents are completely flat in September for relative seasonality following a few months of inflated prices.

March and April were not kind to Houston’s housing market, which experienced its second consecutive month of year-over-year declining single-family home sales and average prices in the latest report from the Houston Association of Realtors.
