Constant Contact unveiled a real estate-specific version of its marketing platform Wednesday at Inman Connect San Diego, built to serve brokerages, franchises, associations and MLSs as distinct customers rather than treating every account like a single agent’s email list.
The company frames the launch, Constant Contact for Real Estate, around research it says shows 86 percent of a real estate agent’s business comes from their existing database and sphere of influence. It’s a data point Constant Contact is using to argue that relationship marketing still beats transactional lead-gen, even as artificial intelligence tools flood the space.
“Real estate has always been a relationship business, and that hasn’t changed in the AI era — if anything, it matters more,” Jim Mandala, VP of Strategic Verticals at Constant Contact, said in a statement. “We made a deliberate, company-wide decision to build for how this industry actually works. Marketing should be the thread that connects the technology real estate professionals already rely on, and that’s exactly what we set out to deliver.”
Constant Contact for Real Estate delivers one platform through two tailored experiences. Brokerages and franchises get centralized visibility into agent usage and engagement — the kind of data leadership can use for coaching, recruiting pitches and retention arguments — while protecting brand standards across templates and campaigns.
Associations and member-based organizations get a member-benefit angle of continuing-education tie-ins and engagement tools they can point to when justifying dues, plus a new revenue line.
Constant Contact says the product connects into tools agents already use, including CRMs like BoldTrail, Lofty, Follow Up Boss and Cloze; design platforms Canva and MAXA Design; and content tools Real Grader, Instacard and Keeping Current Matters.
Rather than compete as a standalone tool agents choose individually, the company is positioning itself as connective tissue between systems brokerages already use.

Stephanie Alfonso
“Over the past two years, we’ve worked across product, engineering, partnerships and customer success to build an experience that reflects the real structure of this industry — from associations and MLSs to brokerages, franchises, teams and individual agents,” said Stephanie Alfonso, senior director of vertical innovation at Constant Contact. “The research kept pointing us back to one truth: relationships drive this business. Everything we built starts there.”
Constant Contact for Real Estate is available now. Alfonso expanded on the research behind the launch during the Emerging Tech Pitch Battle session at Inman Connect San Diego on Wednesday. She also served as a pitch battle judge and, throughout the program, showed off her dance moves while the DJ played some old-school hip-hop jams.
“Two and a half years ago, I joined Constant Contact — a company trusted for over 30 years — as senior director of vertical innovation, focused on real estate specifically because it’s an industry that runs on relationships,” Alfonso said. “Since then, we’ve been ‘putting gas behind it’ by integrating with the tools brokerages and agents already use.”
Alfonso said AI is woven throughout the platform, “but if it’s not driving relationships and better communication, what’s it worth?”
“We look at what matters across franchises, independent brokerages, and teams, and build a platform that works within an agent’s or brokerage’s entire tech stack, rather than asking them to rip and replace,” she said. “We are officially announcing Constant Contact for Real Estate.”
