Solid Earth’s new RealtyID platform gives real estate pros a single identity record across states, brokerages and MLSs, modeled on the NMLS.

Solid Earth launched RealtyID on Tuesday, an identity platform the company says will give every real estate professional a single unified record instead of a scattered trail of state licenses, MLS memberships and association credentials.

The idea, according to Solid Earth CEO Eric Stegemann, is to do for real estate what the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS) has done for mortgage originators for roughly two decades. It will let one identifier follow a professional across state lines, rather than forcing them to re-establish who they are with every new license, brokerage or platform.

“If you originate mortgages in one place and you want to originate mortgages in the next state over, it’s one ID, one record that crosses that state border,” Stegemann said. “The real estate industry really does not have that.”

Solid Earth is a leader in MLS and association technology, providing IdP & SSO Dashboards, Billing Systems, and Consumer Search Portals to MLSs and Realtor associations.

RealtyID is built as an enterprise identity provider — the authentication layer sitting behind the apps agents already use — with support for AAL2-level authentication and passkey logins like face and fingerprint ID.

Stegemann pitched the eventual experience as something closer to signing in with Google than juggling dozens of separate logins across MLSs, associations and brokerage tools.

“If you touch the real estate industry in any way, you get issued a RealtyID,” Stegemann said. “Then that Realty ID can cross your state borders.”

The platform also treats licensing status as an active signal rather than a one-time onboarding check, continually cross-referencing a professional’s credentials across jurisdictions so MLSs, associations and brokerages have more current information when deciding who gets access to what.

Solid Earth carefully frames RealtyID as an information layer, not a compliance decision-maker. The company says organizations still make access calls.

The launch comes with “Welcome to Real Estate,” a media campaign built around the tagline “Know Before You Open the Door,” which casts the industry as a nightclub line and RealtyID as the bouncer checking credentials at the door. It’s a lighter wrapper around a pitch aimed squarely at MLS and association back offices juggling licensing compliance.

Solid Earth says it already serves more than 450,000 users across MLS dashboards, single sign-on and public portal products. RealtyID extends that same infrastructure into identity itself.
