RealReports has launched a new feature to enable any website to enhance how it captures leads from consumers, Inman has learned. It manifests as a customizable widget on listing pages.
“The new tool allows brokerages to embed a widget on every listing on their website. The widget simultaneously enriches each listing with unique information from RealReports’ unmatched property data while capturing the contact details of consumers requesting to view the full property report,” according to a Feb. 19 statement from the company.
RealReports’ core competency is in producing extensive, data-rich property and community reports for use in a variety of real estate business applications, from listing presentations to investment strategies. It was spun out of a remote tech-forward brokerage called Torii Homes, where its bones were assembled to assist its agents in quickly providing advisory services as they worked with clients over the web.
The widget can be branded and adjusted to present each listing’s most pertinent concerns or highlights, such as regional retail trends, environmental risks, development activity and consumer demographics.

James Rogers
James Rogers, co-founder and CEO at RealReports, said in the statement that brokerages should see the new tool as a value-driven lead capture system.
“Brokerages are still reeling from last year’s commission lawsuits and most are looking to cut as many superfluous costs as possible,” Rogers said. “If your product can’t meaningfully move the needle on ROI, you’re dead on arrival. That’s a key differentiator here — the RealReports widget leverages data to capture consumer attention, then converts your traffic into high-intent leads.”
The widget can be installed and managed by marketing staff or outside content managers. It requires a single line of code to activate, the company said.
“We have so much in the pipeline for the widget,” said Zach Gorman, RealReports co-founder and COO. “The framework we’ve built is durable and ready to scale, so we can focus on tapping into other caches of potential to drive even more leads to our brokerage clients and making a real impact on their bottom line in today’s competitive market.”
My latest review recognized RealReports for its ability to help agents unearth more than the basic characteristics of a home to the benefit of the consumer.
“Savvy agents should envision RealReports as a valuable tool for comparing homes before an offer is made, especially in a market like this. Beds, baths and budgets are only the start; Real Reports gets into the DNA of a home,” the review stated.
Leads are always top-of-mind for every brokerage and often — whether good or bad — drive any broker’s software installation decision, even more so in markets like the one the industry is now facing. RealReports’ data does the heavy lifting of capturing mindshare from the consumer, enticing them to learn more from the insights the widget offers. Downloading the report offers agents a solid talking point for follow-up and, at the very least, a reason to enter the individual into a marketing campaign.
“Paying a vendor just to display some small bits of property data on your website may have worked in the past, but in today’s market, that’s no longer enough,” Rogers said.
