North Texas Real Estate Information Systems, Inc. (NTREIS), a multiple listing service (MLS) based out of North Texas, has named industry vet Chris Carrillo as its new CEO, the company announced Wednesday. Carrillo will start work with the MLS on June 1, 2025.
The MLS’s former CEO, John Holley, announced his retirement last November, which prompted a nationwide search for a new CEO. Carillo has been active in the industry for 26 years and has served as Metro MLS CEO in Milwaukee for the last 14 years. Metro MLS serves roughly 10,000 members across 10 Realtor associations.

“Throughout the selection process, I was deeply impressed by the search committee’s dedication, professionalism and clear vision for the future of NTREIS,” Carillo said in a statement.
“They have a keen understanding of where the organization needs to go and the pivotal role the CEO must play in that growth. I am truly honored to have been selected and excited for the opportunity to lead NTREIS through this dynamic period of change and opportunity. I look forward to collaborating with our shareholders, directors, and staff to address the industry’s current needs and shape innovative solutions with a shared vision to guide our marketplace forward.”
Prior to joining Metro MLS, Carrillo served as CEO of Centralized Real Estate Information Services (CRIS) MLS in Akron, Ohio. He also serves on the Council of MLS Board of Directors, and served as chair of the board in 2019. Carrillo’s active participation and leadership in the industry are part of what attracted NTREIS to his candidacy, the organization said.
“We are pleased to welcome Chris Carrillo as the new CEO of NTREIS,” Kristi Davis, president of the NTREIS Board of Directors, said in a statement. “His leadership, vision and industry expertise make him the right person to guide NTREIS into its next phase of growth. We are confident that under his direction, NTREIS will continue to innovate and provide exceptional service to our stakeholders.”
NTREIS serves about 53,000 subscribers across 44 counties and 16 Realtor associations. This year, the MLS expanded into North Central Texas with the addition of the Waco Association of Realtors.
