Leading East Coast agent and founder of MGS Group Real Estate Maggie Gold Seelig has decided to align with the Corcoran Group in New York City, the firm has informed Inman.
Seelig launched the Cambridge, Massachusetts-based MGS Group Real Estate in 2008 after starting her real estate career at Coldwell Banker two decades ago. Most recently, her New York license has been affiliated with the Modlin Group since 2018.
Over the course of her career, Seelig has closed more than $2 billion in career sales and was ranked the No. 24 agent in the U.S. by sales volume in 2024, according to RealTrends. She also brought the buyer to the sale of an $80 million unit at 220 Central Park South in 2023, which was one of the biggest residential deals of that year.

“I’m thrilled to welcome Maggie to Corcoran,” President and CEO Pamela Liebman said in a statement. “She’s a powerhouse in the industry, and with the strength of Corcoran behind her, I have no doubt she and her team will be an unstoppable force in New York City’s real estate market.”

Max Clayton | Corcoran Group
While affiliating with Corcoran in New York State, Seelig is also keeping her Massachusetts license active with MGS Group Real Estate. In addition to her impressive sales record, Seelig is known for representing former NFL player Tom Brady in the sale of multiple noteworthy properties across the country.
“I’ve always found the Corcoran brand incredibly inspiring, and as I grew my business in New York City, it became clear that joining Corcoran was the right step to ensure my New York clients receive the highest level of service and support,” Seelig said in a statement. “I have the utmost confidence in Pam Liebman — not only as a respected colleague but also as a trusted friend. Gaining access to the powerful platform she leads is exactly the move I had to make to best serve my clients and continue to make an impact in the New York City luxury market.”
Adam Modlin, founder and CEO of the Modlin Group, wished Seelig well.
“Modlin group wishes Maggie great success and good fortune in her new venture,” he said in a statement sent to Inman.

Stephanie Landess | Corcoran Group
Three team members will also be joining Seelig at Corcoran’s East Side office to form the MGS Team. Max Clayton, a Broadway performer, also comes to the team from the Modlin Group. Stephanie Landess, who has a background as an auctioneer at major auction houses in New York City, joins after founding her own design and renovation firm, which she eventually transitioned into residential sales. Seelig’s long-time marketing coordinator and executive assistant, Nicolle Moore, is also joining her team at Corcoran Group.

Before starting in real estate, Seelig trained as a lawyer; she has a BA in political science from Swarthmore College and received her Juris Doctor from the University of Connecticut. Her philanthropic pursuits include serving on the Board of Advisors for The American Repertory Theater at Harvard University and the Board of the Philanthropic Overseers of Boston’s Children’s Hospital.
