A high point in my career was not just reaching my own milestones, but seeing my team members, like Ashley Roberts and Becky Bridgette, achieve their goals and grow in ways that surpass their expectations.

Ashley Roberts

For Ashley, a significant milestone was becoming the first team member at Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Central to “cap.” She credits much of her success to the mentorship and guidance I provided from the very beginning.

I saw potential in Ashley and chose to invest in her growth, helping her develop into the amazing agent she is today. I’m incredibly proud that she refers to herself as “Mini Mayfield,” which is a testament to the relationship we’ve built and the success she’s achieved.

For Becky, a high point was knowing that our team had given her the opportunity to meet her financial goals while also providing a sense of belonging. Though she retired from her teaching career, she has continued to thrive in real estate for over 25+ years.

She plays a vital role in the success of our team by caring for the many little things that are crucial to ensuring our team’s success. I am thankful for her.

What’s your top prediction for 2025?

My top prediction for 2025 is that technology will continue to play a pivotal role in shaping the real estate industry, particularly in streamlining operations and enhancing client experiences. I believe we’ll see more real estate agents adopting AI-powered CRMs, virtual tours and data-driven marketing strategies to better serve clients.

Josh McGrath (Broker, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Central): I admire Josh for his vision, leadership and commitment to fostering growth within our brokerage. He’s a true mentor who leads with integrity and care, and his guidance has been invaluable to me and many others. His ability to connect with people and support them through challenges is something I greatly admire.

Ashley Roberts (team member, Team Mayfield): Ashley is an inspiring individual who has shown tremendous dedication, growth and leadership. I admire her work ethic, her commitment to helping clients, and her willingness to learn and grow. She embodies the spirit of mentorship and collaboration, and I’m proud to have helped guide her to success.

Franki (Sister): Franki, my late sister, is someone I deeply admire for her strength and resilience. Throughout the challenges she faced in life, she remained incredibly strong and inspiring. I learned so much from her ability to persevere and maintain a positive outlook, and her influence continues to guide me in both my personal and professional life.

What’s 1 thing you wish every agent knew?

Real estate is a relationship business, not just a transaction business. The most successful agents understand that it’s not about just closing a deal; it’s about building trust, maintaining genuine connections and providing long-term value to clients. Creating a reputation rooted in integrity, service and care is what truly sets you apart.

By focusing on relationships and consistently offering value, clients will keep coming back and referring others to you. Also, remember that you’re running your own business, and you need to schedule time to work both “in” and “on” your business.
