Every day, Inman gets a slew of announcements about big teams and industry leaders making moves from one company to another. It’s more than we can cover!
So, here are some of the biggest announcements from recent days:
The Agency
California-based luxury firm The Agency has moved into West Virginia, opening its first office near Morgantown’s Cheat Lake reservoir.
“When we aligned ourselves with the agency, it kind of felt really similar to what I wanted to achieve all along. But now we just have this massive brand behind us, and staying here in Morgantown, still being a part of the community in north central West Virginia, feels amazing,” Managing Partner Ryan Bashour told 12WBOY during the office’s ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 25.
Century 21
Century 21 has a new office in North Texas, with Crew Real Estate in Van Alstyne joining the brokerage as Century 21 Crew. The four-year-old brokerage is 50 miles north of Dallas, and serves buyers and sellers looking to relocate to smaller communities without losing access to the amenities in DFW.

“Billy [Medlock] and his agents have quickly built a business rooted in genuine relationship building, collaboration, and hometown community involvement,” C21 President and CEO Mike Miedler said in an emailed statement. “Time and time again, Billy and his agents emphasize the importance of culture in everything they do, from serving clients to the way they support each other in the office.”
Chestersons Global
Chestertons Global, a 220-year-old international luxury network, has two new additions in the Carribean — Bellegarde Estates in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and MOD Realty Ltd in the Cayman Islands. Bellegarde has been serving buyers and sellers in the cays since 2016, while MOD Realty has been in the luxury space since 2019.
“The Caribbean is too often treated as a single market, when in reality, it is very diverse. Saint Vincent and The Cayman Islands both have a clear place in our network,” Chestersons’ Managing Director Mohamed Mussa said in a press release. “… Bellegarde Estates and MOD Realty were handpicked as leaders in their respective markets, and together they give our clients credible representation in two destinations where local knowledge is paramount.”
Sotheby’s International Realty
Veteran broker Tiegen Boberg has joined Roseville-based Nick Sadek Sotheby’s International Realty. Over the past 12 years, Boberg has closed more than 1,500 transactions worth more than $800 million, becoming one of the go-to luxury brokers in Northern California.
“I’ve joined Sotheby’s International Realty in Roseville, and I couldn’t be more energized about what this means for my clients,” he said in a prepared statement. “The Sotheby’s brand represents excellence, innovation and global reach. Combining that platform with my local market expertise allows me to deliver an even higher level of service, exposure, and results for buyers and sellers throughout the Greater Sacramento region.”

Marissa Ghesquiere
Sotheby’s International Realty has also appointed a new corporate leader, naming Marissa Ghesquiere the brokerage’s regional president for the East Coast and Central regions.
“Widely respected for her calm demeanor, professionalism and thoughtful leadership, Marissa is known as a positive force within the company,” the firm said in an emailed statement. “She leads a highly capable team focused on delivering expert marketing, branding, and administrative support, and consistently seeks innovative technologies and tools to enhance agent performance and client experience.”
