No app. No login. No dashboard. BKeeperAI launched a text-message-based expense tracker, aiming to give real estate agents clean, tax-ready records without changing how they work.

Many real estate agents run their business by text. Now they can choose to manage expenses that way too.

Portland, Oregon-based BKeeperAI has launched a text-message-based expense-tracking platform aimed at solopreneurs, with real estate agents as its starting market, the company said in a statement.

The platform, built around an AI assistant the company calls Bee, lets agents submit expenses two ways: by connecting a bank account or credit card through Plaid or by texting a photo of a receipt. Bee categorizes transactions automatically, and a human team member verifies each expense before it’s finalized, according to the company.

Solopreneurs lose between $4,000 and $10,000 a year in missed tax deductions due to inconsistent expense tracking, according to data cited by BKeeperAI from Bench Accounting and the National Small Business Association. Forty percent of small business owners avoid claiming deductions they’re entitled to because they don’t trust their own records, the same data shows.

“Nobody became their own boss because they love categorizing receipts,” Christine Carlo George, BKeeperAI co-founder and chief marketing officer, said in a statement. “We built a system that meets agents where they already are: their phone. Send a text, connect a card, and Bee handles the rest. A real person verifies. That’s the part that actually matters at tax time.”

BKeeperAI does not see or store users’ bank login credentials, the company said, because verification runs through Plaid.

The company was founded by George, along with CEO Laura O’Connor and CTO Eric Hunsberger. George previously founded Post & Beam Creative, a real estate branding agency, and has been named an Inman News Marketing All-Star. O’Connor has been recognized by HousingWire and RISMedia for her real estate industry work. Hunsberger is a Minneapolis-based technology strategist with more than 25 years in AI and enterprise technology.

BKeeperAI is available now with a 14-day free trial, then costs $24 a month or $264 a year.
