In my ongoing quest to buy a home this year, I have had many interesting and eye-opening experiences about the same industry that I thought I already knew so well. I mean I spent the past decade of my life specializing in it. I see many people making the argument that technology is replacing people. However, throughout the process of my homebuying experience, I have come to the realization that people — not technology — replace people.
One of the worst feelings for just about anyone making a video is when you begin editing your clips after hours spent filming … only to discover that your footage is either out of focus, too bright or too dark, or that you forgot to put the toilet seat down in all the bathroom shots.
Being in the real estate video technology and marketing business for the past seven years has been quite an eye-opening experience for me. And one thing became apparent to me recently: The real estate industry is its own worst enemy when it comes to forward progress.
