Coldwell Banker President and Chief Operating Officer Molly Hamrick always asks herself and her agents “WTF?” every day. She’s referring to the fundamentals of the business — what are the fundamentals? She still believes in door-knocking, open houses and staying in touch.
Whenever Molly Hamrick sold a house during her career as a Realtor, she’d make sure that she called and followed up with the homebuyers to see if they needed anything. She would follow up a day after the sale, a week after the sale, and then a month afterward to check in on the buyers.
Hamrick, who is now president and chief operating officer of Coldwell Banker Premier Realty in Las Vegas, built new client relationships this way. When the buyers were ready to sell down the road, they would call her and not the original agents they’d used to buy their house because unlike them, she’d stayed in touch, she recalled onstage at Inman Connect Las Vegas (her hometown.)
This was just one of several tips Hamrick shared with the audience at Inman’s conference last week. She said that in her last year as an agent she handled 100 listings and 125 closings.
