A new artificial intelligence workflow solution called HouseWhisper has entered the market, backed by a new seed round of funding of $6.7 million, Inman learned.
The latest infusion was provided by Mayfield, PSL Ventures, and 75 and Sunny Ventures and comes after months of beta testing for the software in which it was used by more than 4,000 agents, according to a Feb. 25 statement. Money will be put to use expanding the breadth of the product and hiring.
The company has raised close to $10 million in total. An earlier round was led by Mayfield with the same funds participating.
HouseWhisper works to keep agents on track of everything happening to and around them each day. It integrates calendars and CRM data to create a hands-off, always-on support entity to ensure communications, deal points and critical business processes are always up to date and accurate.
The company’s founding team has a notable industry pedigree, consisting of former Zillow VP of Product and Engineering Luis Poggi, Spencer Rascoff, new CEO of Match Group and a Zillow engineering lead named Alex Kutner. The app’s primary objective is to alleviate what the company calls “administrative overload.”
Rascoff said in a statement that HouseWhisper is another sign of how quickly AI can better an agent’s ability to tackle the demands of today’s increasingly competitive and technology-forward market.
“The rapid adoption of HouseWhisper by top teams and agents shows the industry is ready for a smarter, more efficient way to work,” he said. “We see a future where AI-powered assistants are as essential to a real estate agent as their cell phone, helping agents stay connected with clients through better insight, personalization, and efficiency.”
The software’s core competencies rely on its ability to easily integrate with most popular CRMs, which are often the primary productivity center for agents, handling client follow-up demands, lead nurture and transaction flow. It can send reminders, record task completion and ensure everyone stays in sync “by prompting follow-ups and drafting personalized messages, whether it’s two hours or two years later” the release stated.
HouseWhisper can also manage calendars by setting appointments, reconciling over-booking and alerting stakeholders to any changes on a 24/7 basis. It can be directed by and respond with voice commands, too.
The company’s website shows CRM integrations can be done with Follow Up Boss, BoldTrail (previously kvCORE), Sierra Interactive, SalesForce and HubSpot. Others can be done on a custom basis and the company will continue to build bridges with other solutions.
This is Rascoff’s second time founding and financially backing an AI assistant. In 2023, he launched heyLibby, described as an application that “takes on the work of engaging and gathering important information from leads, creating project summaries based on leads’ needs and scheduling meetings with qualified leads through integrations with users’ preferred customer or transaction management platforms.”
However, it appears heyLibby has adjusted its primary market to other forms of schedule-heavy consumer-facing enterprises, such as “gyms and recreational websites,” per its website.
A number of brokerage-specific options exist in the AI assistant vertical already. The Real Brokerage, Keller Williams and SERHANT. have each built proprietary AI workflow tools. One-time brokerage Avenue 8 built its own as well, only to pivot completely to supporting the product as a new company called Sidekick.
“HouseWhisper is reshaping how real estate professionals work with an AI teammate that gives agents more time and productivity so they can focus on what matters most: building relationships and closing deals,” said Vijay Reddy, partner at Mayfield, in the statement.
