Founder & COO, Qwasi
In 1997 Mark graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree and started his career in technology sales with one of the largest software companies in the US, Parametric Technology. Over the following six years, Mark had a very successful technology sales career, holding several positions selling enterprise software solutions and services to Fortune 500 companies including Tier 1 pharmaceutical companies, investment banking and financial services. In the role of account manager with EMC Mark contributed his expertise and brilliantly honed sales skills while managing one of the company's largest retail accounts, Wal-Mart.
In 2003, Mark founded a technology consulting practice in the real estate industry which he quickly grew to over a hundred clients in less than a year. Through his consulting practice, he became a principal in a successful local real estate start up called homemarketsite.com where he helped identify market opportunities, strategic areas of growth and best technology practices in the industry. During this time, he and a business associate identified some areas of opportunity and need within the real estate industry as it related to technology and services. In 2004 he cofounded Qwasi, a mobile solutions and applications company, which gave birth to CellSigns. In the position of COO since the company launched, Mark has been responsible for the leadership and strategic direction of the company.
Mark has successfully invented several products that are currently marketed by Qwasi and CellSigns. His experience has helped the company to become a market leader in mobile real estate, mCommerce, newspaper, and business technologies. Mark has been quoted in the national and local press, and Qwasi and CellSigns has been featured in the Chicago Tribune, The LA Times, the Baltimore Sun, The Orlando Sentinel and several other national publications. In addition to the press, the company has also won numerous awards including the Innovator of the Year award for real estate technologies from Inman News, and several National Association of Newspaper awards.
Mark is also very socially conscious and regularly donates technologies through his company as well as his time to local churches.
Mark and his wife Susan are currently living in Chester Springs, PA with their two children.
